Rock School

Rockschool's approach is practical and relevant to the music of today.

Rockschool offers the standard grade 1-8 courses, along with accompanying books and backing CDs to help prepare for exams. These books can be bought straight from us for less than high street retailers.

ABRSM

ABRSM is the biggest music examining body in the world and has a highly respected reputation.

ABRSM has preparation books for all its exam's, and also provides our tutors with tips on how best to prepare their students for ABRSM examinations.

The work entailed for ARBSM grades is far more technical than the other syllabuses we teach from. It involves more knowledge of scales, applied harmony and improvisation. Music theory is also available separately from practical examinations, and to complete grades 6-8, ABRSM require you have at least grade 5 theory.
